2. Your toddler won't stop snatching toys from their sister and you're about to lose it... what's the move? *

Keep explaining why we don’t snatch. “It’s about sharing, honey!” But honestly, how many times do I have to say this?

Just quietly move them away each time it happens. I need to be firm without losing my cool. It’s exhausting, but I can’t let them think this is okay.

Do the timeout thing until they can share nicely. I feel a bit guilty, but maybe some time alone will help them cool off... or help me!

Try to redirect them with different toys and distract their attention. I hope this works, but I feel like I'm just putting a Band-Aid on the problem!

3. Your 3yo keeps screaming 'you're not the boss!' and you're about ready to scream back... what do you do *

Keep doing whatever you were working on, totally unfazed by their tantrum. I need to be calm and confident, no matter how much they scream!

Try reasoning with them, saying something like, "Mommy has to be in charge so you stay safe.” But do they really even understand this?

Show them who’s boss by raising my voice a bit. Maybe they just need to see I mean business!

Send them to their room until they calm down and can behave. Maybe some time apart will give us both a breather!

4. Bedtime tantrums have become a nightly thing and you're exhausted... what's your go-to strategy *

Promise extra stories if they’ll just settle down already. Sometimes I wonder if bribing is the answer...

Get frustrated and tell them no TV tomorrow if they don’t stop. Maybe this will work to change their behavior, or maybe they'll just cry louder!

Stick to the routine like it's no big deal. I hope they get through it eventually, but I can’t let them think this works!

Let them stay up a bit longer because I’m too tired to fight it. At this point, I just need some peace!

5. Your kid throws a fit because they don’t want to eat what you made for dinner... what's the plan? *

Stay neutral and stick to the plan. “Dinner is ready; you can eat this or not!” I have too much on my plate to bend tonight.

Quickly make them something else to avoid a meltdown. Is it bad to just give in? I don’t want to hear them scream!

Explain why it’s important to eat what I cooked, but deep down, I worry if I’m not being nice enough.

Insist they eat it and make them stay at the table until they do. Tough love, right? But what to do? They have to eat, right?

6. What do you do when your child demands more screen time and throws a fit? *

Stick to your limit calmly and without engaging in another debate. They can deal with it!

Negotiate for a little more time, thinking it might keep the peace...

Explain again why too much screen time isn’t good, trying to distract them afterward.

Get frustrated and turn the screen off, abruptly ending their time. That'll show them!
